Youth Minister: Daniel London

St. Francis participates in a collaborative youth ministry with four Episcopal churches in Marin - St. Paul's, Nativity and Redeemer in San Rafael and Christ Church, Sausalito. Junior High and Senior High Youth Group meet in the "Upper Rooms" of the Episcopal Church of the Nativity on Sunday evenings (see the schedule below). Nativity is located off of Lucas Valley Road at 333 Ellen Drive in San Rafael. Check us out on Facebook http://www.facebook.com/MarinEpiscopalYouthGroup

MISSION: To encounter Christ in Scripture, prayer and service to the poor. We will pursue this mission by wrestling with lectionary-based lessons, practicing Compline prayer, and serving the poor in creative ways.

ABOUT our youth minister, Daniel London:

Raised in Los Altos CA with a brief stint in Ithaca NY, Daniel earned his Bachelors degree at Westmont Colllege, his Masters degree at Fuller Theological Seminary and is currently pursuing a PhD in Christian Spirituality at the Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley CA. Daniel grew up in the Evangelical Church, where he fell in love with Jesus, and, in 2007, was confirmed in the Episcopal Church, where he found an expression of Christianity that resonated best with his experience of Christ's love. He has been living in intentional community with young adults for the last four years and has been working in youth ministry for almost ten years. Daniel loves working with the Marin Episcopal Youth Group and the adult volunteers as they have been encountering Christ afresh in prayer and in service to the poor. This summer, he will be ordained to the transitional diaconate in the Los Angeles diocese.
